Pelvic health physiotherapy, explained.

Pelviology is an advanced pelvic health physiotherapy clinic based in Clayfield, Brisbane, supporting women, men and gender-diverse people with pelvic health concerns across all stages of life.

Pelvic health physiotherapy is more than pelvic floor exercises (kegels!). It is a modern, conservative approach that may include education, movement and strength rehabilitation, hands-on care, pain strategies, bladder and bowel retraining, pelvic floor training, ultrasound or EMG biofeedback, behaviour change support and prescription of pessaries where appropriate.

Pelviology was founded by Alexandra Diggles, a Specialist Women’s, Men’s and Pelvic Health Physiotherapist and Fellow of the Australian College of Physiotherapists. This recognised specialist title is held by only a small number of physiotherapists in Australia and reflects the highest level of peer-reviewed clinical training in the physiotherapy profession.

That depth of clinical reasoning shapes the way our whole team works. Our physiotherapists are trained and mentored within an advanced pelvic health environment, with focused clinical development across pelvic pain, bladder and bowel symptoms, pregnancy and postnatal recovery, menopause, men’s pelvic health, sexual pain, athlete pelvic health and surgical recovery.
